Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the more common questions we get asked. If your question isn’t answered here, please contact us and we’d be happy to answer it for you.

  • We currently accept the following insurances.

We keep this list up to date. If yours isn’t listed, we unfortunately are not paneled with them at this time.

Please call and have us check your eligibility to ensure that your plan covers counseling services.

  • While each counselor is going to have a unique approach, there are some things that are consistent.

First, you can expect your sessions to be relaxed feel to them. No, you don’t have to lie down on a couch or talk about your mother (unless that’s what you’re coming in to do).

Second, sessions are focused on you and the areas you want to address. Whether you want to learn, build new personal or relationship skills, heal from past hurts, or talk about personal matters, the session adapts to your needs.

Lastly, you can expect support. Yes, your counselor may gently note where you are contributing to the challenges in your life. Yes, they may note where something needs to change. What they won’t do is shame, condemn, or belittle you. They are there to be on your team, building hope and helping you to meet the goals you came in for.

  • Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to answer this. It is going to be unique to you, what you are wanting to address, and where you are in the process of change. Everyone has to walk their own journey of healing, changing, and growing.

What we can assure you of is that we want you to move through this at the right pace. We won’t prolong your time in therapy and we won’t rush you either. This is your journey and we’ll walk it at your pace, whatever that is.

  • Yes! All of our counselors see clients both online or in person. We’re happy to work with you the way you need.

  • Same day appointments are usually because someone is having a mental health emergency. We aren’t equipped to provide emergency mental health treatment.

At the same time, we get that many people reach out because they are hurting and want to get help as quick as they can.

We can generally get you scheduled most of our clinicians in the next couples of weeks and sometimes even the same week.
